The Nickname Detectives are in for an exciting summer vacation on Hutchinson Island, located on Florida's east coast. They stay with Dr. and Mrs. Hackett and their daughter Paola, whose nickname is Pauli. Pauli quickly becomes the fourth Nickname Detective and introduces the boys to her summer friend, nicknamed MTM. But what does MTM stand for? The four detectives embark on a series of adventures across the island. They discover mysterious footprints leading to several mounds of sand. Who made the prints, and what's hidden beneath the mounds? During one hike, they meet Mickey E and Minnie E - but can you guess what they name their babies? After a terrible storm, one of the detectives stumbles into a depression and gets tangled in a thick rope. At the end of the rope, they find a grime-covered box. Where did it come from, and why is it so important that an archaeologist reveals the significance of their discovery?
